According to the weekly domain sales report at dnjournal, myblog.com was sold for US$400,000 in s private transaction.

Highest bid for expired domain a1.com US$260,250

The highest bid for the expired domain a1.com at snapnames was US$260,250. As it turns out, this was the highest price paid for an expired domain at auction. The highest bidder appears to be based in the Cayman Islands and this was a legitimate bid which went through to completion.

Yahoo buys del.icio.us

Shopping comparison site pricegrabber.com has been sold to GUS for US$485 million dollars. Forecast sales for pricegrabber.com were US$60 million with EBIT of US$25 million. More details can be found here.

According to dnjournal, the highest reported sale for the past week was Recycling.com which was sold for US$300,000. The sale was brokered by sedo.com

Google to buy 5% of AOL for US$1 billion

Google will invest US$1 billion dollars in AOL for a 5% share. Their main interest looks to be towards maintaining their leading position in the search market and not losing any ground to Yahoo or MSN who had also expressed an interest in striking a deal with AOL. Seagate buys Maxtor for US$1.9 billion in stock

Hard Drive manufacturer Seagate has bought Maxtor for US$1.9 billion worth of stock. There is a possibility that Seagate drives could be manufactured at Maxtor factories in the future. More details of the transaction can be found here.
