Google to buy 5% of AOL for US$1 billion
Google will invest US$1 billion dollars in AOL for a 5% share. Their main interest looks to be towards maintaining their leading position in the search market and not losing any ground to Yahoo or MSN who had also expressed an interest in striking a deal with AOL.
